With the fifth installment of Summit Entertainment's THE TWILIGHT SAGA franchise heading to theaters on November 16, 2012, MTV is set to deliver an unparalleled line-up of special on-air and online events to fans of THE TWILIGHT SAGA everywhere, including an exclusive interview with the cast and never-before-seen footage from THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN - PART 2, a full weekend celebration and look back into the MTV News TWILIGHT archives, a fan-voted tournament on Who is the greatest TWILIGHT character of all time, and much more.

First up, MTV News has launched THE TWI-FIGHT SAGA: A "TWILIGHT" TOURNAMENT, a three-week long tournament that will have fans voting online lay to rest, once-and-for-all, the question, "Who is the greatest TWILIGHT character of all time?" Round by round, the single-elimination event will unfold online with fans championing and voting for the character they believe is the greatest from the Stephenie Meyer series. Sixty-four will compete, but only one vampire, werewolf or human will be left standing. The winner will be announced on Monday, November 12.

Then on Thursday, November 1 at 8:00 p.m. ET, MTV News will deliver "MTV FIRST: THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN - PART 2," an exclusive sit-down interview with Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner together where they will introduce a never before seen clip from the highly-anticipated film on MTV.

Following the on-air portion, the TWILIGHT trio will stay on for an interview with MTV News' Josh Horowitz on MTV.com. Fans can get in on the action immediately by submitting video or text questions beginning today via MTV.com or via Twitter (using @MTVNews / hash-tag #AskTwilight and #MTVFirst).

Finally, MTV will host a TWILIGHT Takeover on Saturday, November 10 and Sunday, November 11 with MTV News' Josh Horowitz bringing fans a series of exclusive MTV moments from the very first interview with the cast through to his latest exclusive interview. The moments will appear throughout the weekend as wraps around MTV's scheduled programming.

MTV has covered the TWILIGHT phenomenon from the very start, beginning all the way back in February 2008 when MTV News caught up with a then 17-year old Kristen Stewart talking about a new movie she was about to film based on a book "that's pretty popular [among] young adult, high school kids" at the Sundance Film Festival. In April 2008, MTV News launched its legendary "TWILIGHT Tuesdays" series that saw fans clamoring for new TWILIGHT content every Tuesday morning at 7:00 a.m. ET, and continued its support of the film at the "2008 MTV Movie Awards" when relative unknowns Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, along with co-star Cam Gigandet introduced an exclusive clip from the first TWILIGHT film during the "Movie Awards" pre-show.

The tradition continued at the "2009 MTV Video Music Awards" when now worldwide superstars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner introduced an extended version of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON at the show, as well as the following two years with exclusive clips airing at the "2010 MTV Movie Awards" for THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE and the "2011 MTV Movie Awards" for THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN - PART 1. Most recently, MTV debuted an exclusive first-look of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN - PART 2 at the "2012 MTV Video Music Awards." To date, MTV News has published more than 1,600 TWILIGHT-related news articles since its very first one in 2008 and amassed one of the deepest archives available.

Summit Entertainment, a LIONSGATE(R) (NYSE: LGF) company, will bring THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN - PART 2 to theatres in North America at 10 p.m. on November 15, 2012 at many local theaters and will then release the film across North America and around the world via multiple show times on November 16, 2012.

The astonishing conclusion to THE TWILIGHT SAGA franchise, "THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN - PART 2" illuminates the secrets and mysteries of this spellbinding romantic epic that has entranced millions. Academy Award(R) winner Bill Condon directed both the first and second parts of the two-part finale starring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner. The film, based on the fourth novel in author Stephenie Meyer's "Twilight" series, was written by Melissa Rosenberg with Wyck Godfrey, Karen Rosenfelt and Stephenie Meyer producing.
