40th Anniversary AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS to Air on ABC, 11/18

The 40th Anniversary AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS will air on SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 18 (8:00-11:00 p.m., ET/PT) live on ABC from the NOKIA Theatre L.A. LIVE. Produced by Larry Klein and executive producers Orly Adelson and Barry Adelman of Dick Clark productions, inc., the American Music Awards will once again feature a star-studded lineup of the music industry's top artists and performances, while celebrating 40 years of AMA history and memorable moments.

"The 40th Annual American Music Awards" will honor artists in the categories of Pop/Rock, Country, Rap/Hip-Hop, Soul/R&B, Alternative, Adult Contemporary, Latin and Contemporary Inspirational. For the sixth year, fans will determine the winners by online voting at www.AMA.ABC.com

Nominations will be announced Tuesday, October 9 at the J.W. Marriott L.A. LIVE.
