According to The Hollywood Reporter and EW, ABC has just picked up an eight-episode military reality singing competition series called "Troupe Stars", in which all performers will be current or former soldiers. No premiere date has been set.

"Troupe Stars" has received U.S. military approval, although the government is not involved in the project. The show is from 5 Streams Global Entertainment.
ABC's other singing competition series "Duets" debuted in May to soft ratings, featuring host Quddus (“Total Request Live”) with stars Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, Jennifer Nettles and Robin Thicke.
