ALL MY CHILDREN to Continue Sans Fan Favorite Susan Lucci?

Yesterday, the Online Network announced that production will commence on the highly-anticipated revivals of the beloved long-running serial dramas "All My Children," and "One Life to Live," beginning February 25. Principal production for both series will take place in Stamford, Connecticut with new episodes of "All My Children" and "One Life to Life" set to debut later this spring.

The statement included casting announcements for the two long-time sudsers as well. On One Life to Live, it appears that the majority of the original cast will be returning to the series in its new format.

However, in the case of All My Children, it appears that some key cast members are currently no-shows, including fan favorite Susan Lucci, who has been a fixture on the show since its debut in 1970. The actress has most recently been seen on the new Lifetime series 'Devious Maids.' To date, the casting announcements are not only without mention of Lucci's alter ego Erica Kane, but also members of the Kane extended family.

The new online versions of the soaps will be 30 minutes in length and will only air original episodes Monday through Thursday with a recap on Fridays. As a result, fewer actors, storylines and writers will be employed. Perhaps Lucci's salary demands are too high for the network. Fans can still hope that her character will make less costly cameo appearances on the show.

Previously announced "One Life to Live" cast members include: Erika Slezak (Victoria Lord Buchanan), Robin Strasser (Dorian Lord), Tuc Watkins (David Vickers), Robert S. Woods (Bo Buchanan), Kassie DePaiva (Blair Cramer), Jerry verDorn (Clint Buchanan), Florencia Lozano (Tea Delgado), Melissa Archer (Natalie Buchanan Banks), Hillary B. Smith (Nora Buchanan), Kelley Missal (Danielle Manning) Josh Kelly (Cutter Wentworth), and Andrew Trischitta (Jack Manning). Recurring actors include: Sean Ringgold (Shaun Evans), Shenaz Treasury (Rama Patel), and Nick Choksi (Vimal Patel)
