AOL to Launch Family Comedy GREETINGS FROM HOME, 9/19

AOL and Vuguru, an independent studio founded by Michael Eisner that finances world-class story-driven content for digital and emerging platforms, today announced the premiere of GREETINGS FROM HOME, the third series in their six part production deal. Debuting on AOL On Relationships and AOL On Parents September 19, "Greetings From Home" is a family comedy about the trials and tribulations of a military family with dad raising two unruly teens while mom is deployed overseas. The 14-episode series is written by Bill Rosenthal, Bill Masters and Michael Davidoff, directed by JarEd Drake and executive produced by Gail Berman and Lloyd Braun.

· Becky Griffith (Evie Thompson, Shake it Up!, "Criminal Minds", "Zoey 101") - The 15-year-old former tomboy, moody, adolescent daughter of Pete and Patty Griffith

· Chris Griffith (Hudson Thames, Fright Night) - The 17-year-old charming and mischievous daredevil son of Pete and Patty Griffith

· Emma Mountcastle (Nicole Randall Jackson, "Weeds"," MADtv", "Prime Suspect") - A sassy pregnant intellectual and a neighborhood Army wife

Show Synopsis

When career soldier Pete Griffin loses a leg in combat, he is sent back to America to serve at the army base near his disconnected family's home. To make matters worse, Pete's nurse wife Patty has been deployed to Afghanistan, leaving him to raise daredevil son Chris (17) and moody adolescent daughter Becky (15) by himself. Fortunately, helping Pete overcome the obstacles of single fatherhood are the neighborhood army wives: Sue Meyers, an older grounded woman, Emma Mountcastle, a sassy pregnant intellectual, Roberta Sommer, an overweight airhead, and Missy Wentworth, an overly sexual teenage bride.

Just when Pete thinks he might have everything together with his family, he receives a letter from the army informing him of his upcoming redeployment. "Greetings From Home" comes on the heels of AOL and Vuguru's recent collaborations, the runaway hit comedy "Little Women Big Cars" and the romantic comedy "Fetching", which had millions of views within the first two weeks of their respective launches.
