Spike TV's new, non-scripted original series, CATCH A CONTRACTOR, aims to finally turn the tables on shady contractors. Host Adam Carolla serves as a vigilant watchdog to homeowners who have been cheated by a contractor and left with an unfinished disaster.

Carolla, a renowned television, radio and internet personality with one of the most downloaded podcasts in the world, is also a passionate master carpenter who easily identifies shoddy, inferior work. He takes it personally when contractors pass off their subpar work on average citizens and leave homeowners holding the bag.

Each episode will follow Carolla, along with no-nonsense contractor Skip Bedell and his wife, investigator Allison Bedell, as they seek retribution for wronged homeowners, whose construction nightmares range from the laughably incompetent to frighteningly hazardous homes that have been left completely torn apart. Carolla and the Bedells hunt down and confront unscrupulous builders, drag them back to their construction disasters, and make them finish the job right. Carolla and his expert team share their knowledge and ingenuity with the builders - not only in an effort to deliver homeowners the job they paid for, but also to give these suspect contractors the opportunity to redeem themselves.

Spike TV has ordered 10 half-hour Episodes which begins production this fall and will premiere in spring 2014. Eyeworks USA created the series for Spike TV. The Executive Producers for Eyeworks USA ("Extreme Weight Loss," "Bar Rescue") are JD Roth, Todd A. Nelson, DJ Nurre and Brant Pinvidic.

Carolla is the host of the wildly popular "The Adam Carolla Show" podcast. Launching in February 2009, it became the most downloaded podcast of all time (according to the Guinness Book of World Records) in May 2011 with nearly 60 million downloads. Carolla's television credits include "The Adam Carolla Project," "The Man Show," "Loveline," "Dancing With the Stars" and "Celebrity Apprentice." Additionally, Carolla is a New York Times best-selling author. His two books, In 50 Years We'll All Be Chicks... And Other Complaints From An Angry Middle-AgEd White Guy (2010) and Not Taco Bell Material (2012), were published by Crown Archetype.

Sharon Levy is Spike TV's Executive Vice President, Original Series. Chris Rantamaki is Spike TV's Senior Vice President, Original Series, and Jeff Savaiano serves as the network's Executive in Charge of Production.

Eyeworks currently is producing the hit series "Extreme Weight Loss," airing its third season on ABC.
