TVLine reports that Anna Faris will star in an upcoming CBS comedy pilot from Chuck Lorre entitled MOM. In the multi-camera project, Faris will portray a "newly sober single mom who tries to pull her life together in the Napa Valley."
Lorre co-wrote the script with Eddie Gorodetsky and GEmma Baker. If the project is greenlit by CBS, Lorre will have four shows on the air next fall, including recently renewed The Big Bang Theory and Mike & Molly.
Faris is best known for her starring role in the Scary Movie film series, as well as roles in Lost in Translation, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, The Dictator, Yogi Bear, and The House Bunny.
