According to the HuffingtonPost.com, actress AnnaSophia Robb has just been cast in the lead role of Carrie Bradshaw in The CW's upcoming 'Sex in the City' prequel THE CARRIE DIARIES. The role was originally made famous by actresss Sarah Jessica Parker in the long-running HBO series "Sex and the City."
THE CARRIE DIARIES is based on the novel by Candace Bushnell and will focus on a "young Carrie Bradshaw - before the Manolo Blahniks - as she grows up in a small town during the 1980s, learning about love, sex, friendship and family while still balancing the day-to-day drama of high school." Stefina Owen will co-star with Robb in the role of Carrie's younger sister, Dorrit.
Robb is best known for her starring role in the 2007 film 'Bridge to Terabithia"
