Creating a more immersive experience for viewers on Saturday nights, Bravo Media launches new Social Edition episodes of THE REAL HOUSEWIVES franchise beginning on April 7. This innovative programming initiative invites fans, producers, bloggers and Bravolebrities to react and comment during premiere airings via Facebook, Twitter and Google +. Then the best of those comments will pop up at the bottom of viewers’ television screen throughout repeat airings, making it an all-new experience.

Additionally, Bravo provides advertisers the opportunity to engage with our fans on these groundbreaking multiplatform events through social storytelling and creative solutions. The network will air two back-to-back Social Editions on Saturday, April 7 beginning with “The Real Housewives of Orange County” at 7pm ET/PT and “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” at 8pm ET/PT and then again the following Saturday, April 14 at 7pm ET/PT. “We initiated Social Editions because it seemed like an obvious extension of our brand for our highly engaged audience,” said Jerry Leo, EVP of Program Strategy & Production for Bravo. “Viewers’ intense passion for Bravo shows is widely known and evident in their countless tweets and Facebook posts. This gives them a new reason for watching their favorite shows a second time around.”

Bravo’s Social Editions have delivered remarkable ratings success since the programming strategy first launched in January. Social Editions are averaging a 21 percent increase among total viewers and 16 percent increase with adults 18-49 compared to their primetime encore episodes. “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” Social Edition on 1/12/12 earned the highest rated episode to-date with 1.14 million total viewers.
