Former Broadway actress Evelyn Ward, first wife of Jack Cassidy and mother of David Cassidy, passed away on December 23, 2012, from Alzheimer's. She was 89.

Ward appeared on Broadway in the mid-1940s and '50s in Early to Bed, Billion Dollar Baby, Heaven on Earth, Along Fifth Avenue and New Girl in Town. She also appeared in an off-off Broadway production of Such a Pretty Face in 1996.

On television, Ward's credits included roles and appearances on Manhattan Showcase, The Mercer Girls, Mike Hammer, The Further Adventures of Ellery Queen, Westinghouse Desilu Playhouse, Perry Mason, Ben Casey, The Big Brain, Breaking Point, Dr. Kildare and The Man from U.N.C.L.E.
