THE X FACTOR is down to the Top 6 and this week the finalists will have not one, but two, songs to perform on tonight's show! They will be taking on the song that the fans chose for their Pepsi Challenge performance as well as an unplugged song. Broadway's Carly Rose Sonenclar's Pepsi Challenge song will be Beyonce's "If I Were a Boy". "The fans are deciding everything from the costume to the hair to the makeup, so I'm not even sure yet what it's going to be like," explained Sonenclar. "I love this song and I think it's relatable to everybody. It's such an empowering song for girls. I've heard [from the fans] I should be in a white flowing dress with wind blowing in my hair. Then I've heard I should shave my head and look like a boy. I don't like suits on girls, at least for me, so I don't think I'll do that." Commenting on her unplugged song, which will not be revealed until tonight's live show, the singer hinted, "I am excited about unplugged because that is the style that I like, just a little stripped down. It's actually not that much harder doing two songs than one because both songs are so short!"
Sonenclar has appeared on Broadway in Les Miserables and Wonderland, and has also taken the stage in NYMF's The Night of the Hunter (2006) and the national tour of Little House on the Prairie the Musical.
