Robin Williams is set to star in the upcoming pilot, CRAZY ONES, for CBS, TV Line announced today.
The pilot is a half-hour comedy, produced and written by David E. Kelley, and will be directed by Jason Winer of Modern Family fame. The show is described as a "father/daughter workplace comedy set in the world of advertising," according to the site.
Bill D'Elia, Winer, Dean Lorey, John Montgomery, and Mark Teitelbaum will serve as executive producers.
Williams, The Oscar, Emmy and Grammy Award-winning actor made his Broadway acting debut in BENGAL TIGER AT THE BAGHDAD ZOO, having previously appeared Off-Broadway opposite Steve Martin in Samuel Beckett's "Waiting for Godot" at Lincoln Center in 1988. His filmwork includes Good Morning Viet Nam, Good Will Hunting, Dead Poet's Society, Awakenings and the Disney animated film, Alladin. He can most recently be seen in the upcoming film THE BUTLER, as President Dwight D. Eisenhower.
