CBS SUNDAY MORNING Remains #1 Sunday Morning News Program

CBS SUNDAY MORNING WITH Charles Osgood was the #1 Sunday morning news program in households, viewers and adults 25-54, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Jan. 27, 2013. CBS SUNDAY MORNING posted a 4.0/11 with 5.66m viewers, 1.5/07 in adults 25-54.

Compared to the same day last year, CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +8% in both households (from 3.7/10) and viewers (from 5.25m) and +7% in adults 25-54 (from 1.4/07).

Season-to-date, CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +5% in households (3.9/11 from 3.7/10), +6% in viewers (5.60m from 5.27m) and +7% in adults 25-54 (1.5/07 from 1.4/07) compared to last year.
Sunday's broadcast featured Serena Altschul's investigation into the growing threat of "superbugs," the new and potentially deadly strains of drug-resistant bacteria that are an increasing menace in hospitals across the country; Tracy Smith's profile of playwright Edward Albee; Martha Teichner's interview with Grammy winning singer-songwriter Michael Bolton; and Rita Braver's chat with contemporary artist and Chinese political dissident Ai Weiwei.

CBS SUNDAY MORNING is broadcast Sundays (9:00-10:30 ET) on the CBS Television Network. Rand Morrison is the executive producer.
