CBS News' FACE THE NATION WITH Bob Schieffer is the #1 Sunday morning public affairs show. FACE THE NATION placed first in viewers, adults 25-54 - the demographic most important to those who advertise in News - and households on Sunday, Feb. 17. The CBS broadcast posted 3.39m viewers, 0.8/03 in adults 25-54 and a 2.4/06 in households, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings. Editor's Note: FACE THE NATION's second half-hour was broadcast contiguously across 56% of the CBS affiliates.

Compared to the same day last year, FACE THE NATION is up slightly in viewers (from 3.38m) and even in households.

Season-to-date, FACE THE NATION is up +10% in viewers (3.27m from 2.98m), even in adults 25-54 (0.8/03) and +14% in households (2.4/06 from 2.1/05), compared to last year. Season-to-date, FACE THE NATION is first in viewers, adults 25-54 (tied with NBC) and households, among the Sunday morning public affairs programs.

On the broadcast, Bob Schieffer interviewEd White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough; Newark Mayor Cory Booker; former Gov. Haley Barbour (R-Miss.); Cardinal Donald Wuerl; and Jeffrey Kluger, senior science editor at Time magazine. Schieffer also hosted a roundtable on foreign policy featuring David Ignatius of The Washington Post; Tom Ricks of Foreign Policymagazine; and CBS News State Department Correspondent Margaret Brennan. Schieffer also hosted a political roundtable with Amy Walter of the Cook Political Report; Michael Gerson of The Washington Post; and CBS News Political Director John Dickerson.

FACE THE NATION is broadcast on Sundays at 10:30 AM, ET (check local listings) on the CBS Television Network. Mary Hager is the Executive Producer. FACE THE NATION is one of the longest-running news programs in the history of television. It premiered on CBS on Nov. 7, 1954. The program broadcasts from Washington, D.C., where Schieffer has spent more than 40 years covering government and politics. He has anchored FACE THE NATION since 1991. Guests include government leaders, politicians and global figures in the news.
