GLEE creator Ryan Murphy finally joined the ranks of Twitter users this week and has been using the social media site to reveal a host of clues and teasers about the upcoming fourth season of the show. Among them is his wish to cast Broadway vet Catherine Zeta-Jones in the role of Blaine Anderson's (Darren Criss) mother.
When asked by a GLEE fan on Twitter if viewers will ever be introduced to Blaine's father on the show, the showrunner replied, “Not sure, but you know who I want as BLAINE's mom? Catherine Zeta-Jones!"
If Zeta-Jones accepted the offer of a role on the show she would join a growing list of A-list celebrities who will be making guest appearances this year, including Sarah Jessica Parker and Kate Hudson. Past seasons have seen celebrity cameos by Gwyneth Paltrow and Britney Spears.
And speaking of Paltrow, Murphy also revealed he would love for the actress to return in her role as substitute teacher Holly Holiday. He tweeted “@GwynethPaltrow can come back anytime she wants! How about Gwyneth with Kate Hudson?”
