Chloe Sevigny Set for Recurring Role on THE MINDY PROJECT

Chloe Sevigny has landed a recurring role on Fox's THE MINDLY PROJECT, which was picked up for a second season today, TVLine reports.

Sevigny is set to play Christina, the the ex-wife of Danny (Chris Messina), a war photographer who occasionally bolster's her former husband's feelings of insecurity. Sevigny will appear in three episode, with the first scheduled to air in April.

Created and written by Mindy Kaling ("The Office"), The Mindy Project stars Kaling as a skilled OB/GYN trying to balance both her personal and professional life. The Mindy Project is produced by 3 Arts Entertainment in association with Universal Television. The series is created and written by Mindy Kaling. Kaling, Howard Klein ("The Office," "Parks and Recreation"), Matt Warburton (THE SIMPSONS) and Michael Spiller ("Modern Family") are executive producers.

Sevigny recently completed a stint on Portlandia and AMERICAN HORROR STORY: ASYLUM, as well as a role in the much talked about biopic "Lovelace," directed by Ron Epstein, and starred in "The Wait" with Jena Malone. In 2011 she wrapped five seasons on the critically acclaimed and highly popular HBO series "Big Love" as Nikki Henderson, for which she won a Golden Globe award for Best Supporting Actress. Other recent film credits include "Mr. Nice," "Barry Munday," "My Son, My Son, What Have Ye Done," "The Killing Room" and "Zodiac."
