Colton Haynes Bumped Up to Series Regular for ARROW Season 2

Roy Harper isn't going anywhere on The CW's hit series ARROW.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Colton Haynes, who made his series debut just over a month ago, has officially signed on as a regular for the show's upcoming second season.

Harper is kid who comes from the 'wrong-side' of Starling City's tracks, working day and night to care for his mother, a drug addict.

When the news broke that Haynes would be taking on the role last fall, it was announced that he was poised to serve as a love interest for Thea (Willa Holland) and was "destined to become a significant part of her life and an important player in the larger world of ARROW."

Last year, Haynes, who got his start on MTV's TEEN WOLF, announced via Twitter that he would be departing the series. Aside from WOLF, Haynes has also appeared in PUSHING DAISIES and CSI.

ARROW scored a bull's-eye for The CW with its premiere, which drew 4.14 million viewers, making it the network's most watched telecast of any show, on any night, in three years. The Arrow debut also marked The CW's most watched series premiere since The Vampire Diaries in 2009. In its second outing, Arrow became the only new network drama this season to maintain its audience in both adults 18-34 and adults 18-49 from its premiere to its second week. Now, the series has proven to be one of the true Breakout hits of the season, Arrow currently stands as the network's most watched show (4.3mil).
