Current TV Orders Stephanie Miller Documentary Special

Stephanie Miller's "Sexy Liberal Comedy Tour" is the No. 1 comedy tour in the country and continues to break box office records. Current TV will give viewers an (almost) uncensored, inside look into how it all began with never-before-seen footage from behind the curtains and exclusive inside commentary from Stephanie and her co-hosts John Fugelsang, HAl Sparks and Aisha Tyler. Since its September 2004 debut, "The Stephanie Miller Show," which is distributed on America's largest radio network, Dial-Global, and heard on satellite radio via SiriusXM, has become one of the top shows in Progressive Talk. The show is simulcast on Current TV as "Talking Liberally: The Stephanie Miller Show" weekdays at 9am ET.

"The Sexy Liberal Comedy Tour" was an idea that originated in-studio during a live radio broadcast with Stephanie Miller and John Fugelsang - the goal was to do a concert in Madison, Wisconsin to raise money in order to recall Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker in 2011. Tickets were put on sale two weeks prior to the show date and sold out within four days... Ever since then, "The Sexy Liberal Comedy Tour" has played to sold out venues in 28 markets, has been seen by over 30,000 people and has grossed over $1,900,000 in only 14 months, making it the highest grossing political comedy tour ever.

The one-hour-long Current TV special will feature Stephanie Miller and her various co-hosts on the road, backstage and around the country. "The Sexy Liberal Comedy Tour" will also provide viewers with a window into Stephanie's personal life... Miller opens the doors to her home and shares the thought process that led her to her decision to come out as a gay woman live on her radio show, in front of her national audience.
