Demi Lovato to Appear in Major Story Arc for GLEE Season 5

The fifth season of Glee is shaping up to be a musical dream come true as Adam Lambert and now Demi Lovato are set to appear AND perform together! TVLine reports exclusively that Lovato will be joining the musical drama in a major story arc.

The X Factor judge will portray 'Dani' described as "a NYC-based struggling artist friend of Rachel and Santana's. She will also interact frequently with Adam Lambert's incoming character, and the pair will have several musical numbers together."

The actress will be appearing in at least six episodes, starting with the show's October 3rd episode which will feature a musical tribute to the Beatles.

The guest role will be the first major acting role for the artist since she appeared in Disney Channel's 'Sonny with a Chance.' Her other acting credits include the Camp Rock films and Prison Break and Grey's Anatomy

Glee returns with Season 5 on Thursday, Sept. 26 at 9/8c.
