As first reported on Vulture.com, the Discovery Network has cancelled it long-running game show CASH CAB. The Emmy-winning series has been part of Discovery's programming schedule for almost seven years and has produced more than 200 episodes. A representative for the network confirmed the news to Vulture.

CASH CAB is hosted by Ben Bailey and is based on a traditional trivia format. The twist was that contestants were unsuspecting taxi passengers in New York City who were lucky enough (or unlucky enough if they did not fair well) to hail Bailey's cab. Passengers who hopped into the cab were quickly informed that they were on a TV game show and had an opportunity to win money by answering questions as they drove toward their destination.

The show triumphed over ABC's Jeopardy! and The Price is Right to win the Daytime Emmy for Best Game Show in 2008, 2009, and 2010 with Bailey picking up the prize for Best Host in 2010. According to the report, repeats of the show will continue to air in syndication.
