Disney Channel to Develop BOY MEETS WORLD Sequel Series

Cory Matthews was one of the most iconic teen characters from the 90s - and his daughter may be set to take his place for this generation.

As TV Line uncovered this weekend, the Disney Channel is reportedly in early talks to develop a series sequel to BOY MEETS WORLD, aptly entitled GIRL MEETS WORLD. The network is also apparently doing their best to land original series headliners Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel to reprise their roles of high school sweethearts Cory and Topanga. The series would follow their preteen daughter.

After BOY MEETS WORLD concluded its seven-season run, Savage has gone on to guest star on hit TV shows such as Bones and Chuck. Fishel has appeared in National Lampoon's Dorm Daze and also hosted Style Network's SOUP-inspired, THE DISH.
