GMA SATURDAY Wins First Ever November Sweep

ABC News' "Good Morning America Saturday" won its first-ever November sweeps period, ranking No. 1 during the month in both Total Viewers (3.701 million) and Adults 25-54 (1.330 million), according to Nielsen Media Research. In fact, "GMA Saturday" has now won back-to-back sweeps, as the ABC program also won the 2012 July sweep. "GMA Saturday" debuted in its current format in September 2004.

In winning the month, "GMA Saturday" ranked No. 1, beating both NBC's "Saturday Today" and CBS' "Saturday Early Show," in 3 of 4 telecasts in both Nielsen measures.

Growing over the previous sweep (3.310 million and 1.116 million, respectively, for July 2012) "GMA Saturday" attracted its largest-ever sweeps numbers in overall viewers and in the key adult news demo.

"GMA Saturday" led NBC's "Saturday Today" by its largest-ever November margin in Total Viewers (+202,000) and largest-ever sweeps margin in Adults 25-54 (+181,000).

"GMA Saturday" outperformed CBS' "Saturday Early Show" by its largest-ever sweeps margins in both Total Viewers (+2.021 million) and Adults 25-54 viewers (+701,000).

"Good Morning America Sunday" (10/25 – 11/21/12):

During the 2012 November sweep, "Good Morning America Sunday" drew its largest-ever overall sweeps audience (3.479 million). In Adults 25-54 (1.139 million), "GMA Sunday" attracted its strongest-ever news demo performance during November and 2nd-best overall (behind only the 2012 February sweep), according to Nielsen Media Research. "GMA Sunday" debuted in its current format in September 2004.

For the first time ever, "GMA Sunday" outdelivered NBC's "Sunday Today" during any sweeps period in Total Viewers, beating the NBC program by +118,000 viewers (3.479 million vs. 3.361 million). In addition, "GMA Sunday" slashed more than half of its news demo margin with NBC's "Sunday Today" in Adults 25-54 (-55% - 21,000 vs. 47,000 – July 2012) compared to the previous sweep, to post its smallest-ever sweeps margin with the NBC program in the key adult news demo.
