Gary Cole (DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES, TRUE BLOOD) has officially joined the second season of VEEP, for a major character arc, Deadline learned tonight.
No details on the the role Cole will take on have been released yet - but he is potentially set for 8 out of the 10 episodes scheduled the sophomore season of the hit HBO show. As previously reported, Kevin Dunn has also joined the cast as the president's chief of staff, Ben.
VEEP, created by Armando Iannucci, stars Seinfeld alum Julia Louis-Dreyfuss as the fictional Vice President of the United States. Louis-Dreyfuss won an Emmy this year for her role.
