After weeks of speculation about its future prospects, the CW's "Hart of Dixie" has been renewed for a second season, the network confirmed. The series about a New York doctor transplanted to the fictionAl Small town of Bluebell, Alabama stars Rachel Bilson as Dr. Zoe Hart and Jaime King as her romantic rival, Lemon Breeland. Actress Claudia Lee, who co-stars as Lemon's teen sister, Magnolia, was ecstatic about the show's renewal.

"I was kind of nervous, but I really thought it had a great chance for a second season, based on what fans were saying on Facebook and Twitter," Lee said. "I was driving in the car when my father called and told me that 'Hart of Dixie' was coming back. I was so overjoyed, I screamed."

What a second season will mean for Lee's character is anyone's guess. Since Magnolia was introduced last November, she has been appearing with increasing frequency, often showing signs of maturing, even as she continues getting into, or causing, trouble.

"I don't think Magnolia is really bad," Lee said. "She's just trying to be independent, while also trying to uphold the image that her family expects. She's no different than a lot of kids my age."

HART OF DIXIE's Claudia Lee Reacts to The CW's Series Renewal For Lee, who arrived in Hollywood from her native Indiana just two years ago, news of the series' renewal could not have come at a better time. A singer as well as an actress, she recently released her debut country music album, "Here Right Now" and has just finished shooting a music video for "3 Leaf Clover," a song she describes as "country-rap."

Lee plans to spend much of the summer concentrating on her music career. She is already working on songs for a second album. Meanwhile, she said that she is eager to get back to work on "Hart of Dixie."

"It really is such a blast to work with such a talented cast and crew," she said. "I am excited to see my character grow and bring a lot of new exciting things to her."
