HBO's ENTOURAGE Heading to the Big Screen

Deadline reports that Warner Bros is set to produce a big screen adaptation of the HBO hit series ENTOURAGE. The series, which aired on the cable network from 2004 - 11, gave an inside look at the Hollywood goings on from the point of a view of a rising star, his manager and agent and his gang of friends who formed his inner circle.

Doug Ellin, who executive produced the TV series along with Mark Wahlberg and Stephen Levinson, will helm the project from a screenplay he wrote. Actors Adrian Grenier, ('Chase'), Kevin Connolly, (manager 'Eric "E" Murphy'), Kevin Dillon, ('Johnny Drama'), Jerry Ferrara, ('Turtle'), and Jeremy Piven,(talent agent 'Ari Gold') are currently negotiating with the studio to reprise their roles.

The premise of the series was loosely based on Wahlberg's experiences as an up-and-coming film star. The series dealt with themes of male friendship and real-life situations in modern-day Hollywood. The show was known for its array of guest stars, usually featuring at least two celebrities per episode.
