John Goodman to Star in NBC's COMMUNITY

According to the Hollywood Reporter, stage veteran John Goodman will star in a multi-episode arc on NBC's 'Community.' Goodman will play the 'vice dean of Greendale's well-known air conditioning program.' 

Goodman is most famous for his role as Dan Conner on the American sitcom, Roseanne, which aired on ABC from 1988 to 1997. In 1985, Goodman originated the role of Pap Finn in the Broadway musical Big River. For his role, he received a Drama Desk nomination for Best Featured Actor in a Musical; he also is featured on the Original Broadway Cast Recording. Addiditional stage credits include Broadway's Waiting for Godot, The Public Theater's The Seagull and The Skin of Or Teeth.

Community is about a group of students at a community college in the fictional locale of Greendale, Colorado. The series heavily uses meta-humor and pop culture references, often parodying film and television clichés and tropes. The series premiered Thursday, September 17, 2009, and airs in the 8:00 pm ET time slot. It previously aired in the 9:30 pm ET time slot, beginning with its premiere, but later relocated with its fourth episode. On March 17, 2011, NBC renewed Community for a third season, which is scheduled to premiere on September 22, 2011.
