Kathryn Morris ("Cold Case") stars as a Manhattan housewife who gets an unexpected reality check in THE SWEETER SIDE OF LIFE, a Hallmark Channel Original Movie World Premiere Saturday, January 19 (9p.m. ET/PT, 8C). Morris stars with James Best ("The Dukes of Hazzard"), Alastair MacKenzie ("Monarch of the Glen"), Steve Varnom ("Broadside") and Sam Douglas ("Snatch") as a New York City socialite who loses everything after she's dumped by her wealthy husband and is forced to redefine herself at her father's struggling New Jersey bakery.
In "The Sweeter Side of Life," Morris plays Desiree Harper, whose perfect life as the wife of a high-powered Manhattan doctor comes to a sudden end when her husband says he wants a divorce and invokes their ironclad pre-nup to leave her penniless. Desiree soon finds herself abandoned by her rich friends and back in her New Jersey hometown helping her father in his struggling bakery. Though Desiree wants nothing more than to return to her high-class life, spending time with her father causes her to see things differently. She rediscovers her love of baking and puts her business degree to work to save her father's shop.
