La Toya Jackson's New Reality Series on OWN Premieres to 1.5 Million Viewers

OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network continues its strong momentum scoring ratings highs for its Saturday night original series with 3.3 million viewers tuning in to the return of "Iyanla: Fix My Life" and the new docu-series "Life With La Toya" on Saturday, April 13.

"Iyanla: Fix My Life" featuring life coach Iyanla Vanzant's powerful session with rapper DMX attracted 1.8 million total viewers with 1.4 million tuning in for the 90-minute premiere from 9-10:30 p.m. and an additional 420,000 viewers for the Encore at 12 a.m. The premiere episode was up +22% W25-54 versus its series debut (Sept. 15, 2012 featuring Evelyn Lozada) and Built every half hour +27% over the course of the telecast.

The new original series "Life With La Toya" starring La Toya Jackson attracted 1.5 million total viewers for the night with 1.2 million viewers tuning in to the premiere episode from 10:30-11 p.m. and an additional 283,000 total viewers watching the Encore at 1:30 a.m.

With this solid ratings performance, OWN's Saturday primetime lineup ranked #1 across all broadcast and cable in key African-American demos (AA W25-54, AA W18-49, AA households and total viewers). In addition, OWN was the #1 social network in primetime (non-sports) on Saturday in all of TV according to Bluefin.

This Saturday, April 20, another new original series will join OWN's Saturday primetime lineup from 10-10:30 p.m. The comedy docu-series "Raising Whitley" stars actress and comedienne Kym Whitley, who along with her chaotic collective of friends, come together as a family to raise her young son.
