LeAnn Rimes to Headline VH1's Songwriters Music Series

The VH1 Save The Music Foundation is proud to announce multi-platinum, Grammy® Award winning singer, author and actress LeAnn Rimes as the headlining performer for their Songwriters Music Series Napa presented by William Hill Estate Wines and RAYMOND WEIL. The event will take place on Thursday, September 20th from 6:30 – 10:00 PM at the storied William Hill Estate in Napa, California and follows the April 2012 kick-off with Award-winning soul singer-songwriter Robin Thicke this past April in Chicago, IL. Napa marks the second stop in the series, which is also set to return to New York City this October on Halloween night.

The renowned Songwriters Music Series, which originally featured performances by Rob Thomas, Jewel, The Neptunes (Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo), Darius RuckerBeBe WinansCyndi Lauper and more, re-launched in 2011.  The newly designed Series offers a unique platform for energized and socially conscious professionals to network amidst great music, a sponsored bar and passed hors d'oeuvres.  Each event features an up close and personal acoustic performance with chart-topping artists and up-and-coming musicians. Past performers for the revitalized Songwriters Music Series include: Glee star Matthew Morrison, ACM Award-winning sibling trio The Band Perry, Grammy® Award winning musician Colbie Caillat and Billboard Magazine's "2011 Artist To Watch" Andy Grammer. Since the 2011 launch, the Songwriters Music Series has raised over $388,000, which continues to help restore 12 music education programs nationwide.

LeAnn Rimes has sold more than 40 million albums, won two Grammy Awards, three Academy of Country Music Awards and 12 Billboard Music Awards.  This year, she'll be releasing her highly anticipated studio album, "Spitfire." "Spitfire" was completely self-written by Rimes and touches upon personal aspects of her life.   Rimes is the youngest recipient of a Grammy Award, and was also the first country recording artist to win in the "Best New Artist" category. Rimes has placed 42 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, 13 of which are top-10 hits, and has scored numerous hit singles in her career, including "Can't Fight the Moonlight" which went #1 in 11 countries, and "How Do I Live," which  is the second longest charting song ever on the Billboard  Hot 100 chart. Rimes is also an accomplished actress and author, including writing two children's books Jag and Jag's New Friend, as well as the novel, Holiday in Your Heart and the inspirational book What I Cannot Change.
