"Meet the Press" was the most-watched Sunday morning public affairs hour on Sunday, January 6, 2013, according to Nielsen Media Research data.

Meet the Press drew 3.324 million total viewers, topping This Week by +728,000, the Face the Nation hour by +911,000, and FOX News Sunday by +2,286,000.

MTP delivered an additional 1.248 million total viewers and 566,000 A25-54 viewers with rebroadcasts - 370,000 total viewers and 190,000 viewers A25-54 on the network, and 878,000 total viewers and 376,000 viewers A25-54 on MSNBC.

In Washington, DC, MTP averaged 125,000 total viewers (3.9/10 HH), +221% ahead of the Face the Nation hour's 39,000 (1.6/5), +317% more than This Week's 30,000 viewers (1.1/3 HH), and +363% ahead of FOX News Sunday's 27,000 (0.9/3).

Highlights:

MTP averaged 3.324 million total viewers, +28% (+728,000) ahead of This Week's 2.596 million, +38% (+911,000) ahead of the Face the Nation hour's 2.413 million, +220% (+2,286,000) ahead of FOX News Sunday's 1.038 million.
In homes, MTP delivered a 2.5 rating and 7 share, ahead of This Week's 1.9/5, the Face the Nation hour's 1.8/5, and FOX News Sunday's 0.8/2.
In rating A25-54, MTP delivered a 0.8 rating, +2 tenths more than the Face the Nation hour, +3 tenths more than This Week, and +5 tenths more than FOX News Sunday.
MTP averaged 1,008,000 A25-54 viewers, +48% (+329,000) ahead of the Face the Nation hour, +56% (+362,000) ahead of This Week, and +155% (+613,000) ahead of FOX News Sunday.
MTP outperformed 4Q'12 levels in total viewers (+5%, or +166,000) and +13% in rating Men 25-54.

Sunday's edition of "Meet the Press" featured interviews with Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and the two chairs of the president's debt commission, Fmr. Sen. Alan Simpson (R-WY) and Erskine Bowles, as well as a roundtable discussion with Freshman Senator AnGus King (I-ME), former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich (R-GA), Vice Chair of the House Democratic Caucus Rep. Xavier Becerra (D-CA), former head of HP and Vice Chair of the NRSC Carly Fiorina, and Washington Post columnist E.J. Dionne.
