In an interview with Life & Style, Mario Lopez revealed that he hopes to return as host of the next season of THE X FACTOR but has not yet been offered the job. "I would love to [come back]," he shared. "I had a great time this season. It was awesome. It went by really quick."
Lopez also commented on who he would like to see take over the chair of exiting judge L.A. Reid. "I've been campaigning for my girl Fergie from The Black Eyed Peas," he said. "I think she would be awesome. We've been friends for a long time and I think she's talented and I think she'd be an awesome judge/mentor. She's cool and hip and I think the kids would really respond to her and like her."
Lopez is best known for his portrayal of A.C. Slater on Saved By The Bell, which he also portrayed as a regular on Saved by the Bell: The College Years. He has appeared in numerous projects since, including the third season of Dancing with the Stars and as a celebrity guest host for the syndicated entertainment news magazine show Extra. He has also hosted America's Best Dance Crew for MTV and appeared on Broadway in 'A Chorus Line.'
The third season of THE X FACTOR will premiere on Fox in 2013.
