NIGHTLINE Performing Well in New Time Slot

In week 2 in its new 12:35 a.m. time-slot, "Nightline" drew 1.695 million Total Viewers, 739,000 Adults 25-54 and 517,000 Adults 18-49 for the week of January 14, 2013, according to Nielsen Media Research. For the 2nd week in a row, "Nightline" ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers, outdrawing NBC's "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" by +39,000 and CBS' "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" by +295,000.

"Nightline" beat CBS' "The Late Late Show" during the week by +105,000 Adults 25-54 and by +45,000 Adults 18-49.

"Nightline" improved ABC's performance in the time period on the same week last year (1.442 million and 717,000, respectively, on w/o 1/16/12) in Total Viewers (+18%) and Adults 25-54 (+3%). CBS' "The Late Late Show" (-6%/-14%) and NBC's "Late Night" (-9%/-15%) each saw losses year to year

During the week of January 14th, "Nightline" reported the latest on the dramatic rescue mission for the American hostages held by terrorists in The Middle East; took a closer look at the Manti Te'o debacle; had exclusive behind-the-scenes access at Facebook as the company launched a brand new feature; spent 48 Hours inside Boston's hardest-hit emergency rooms where children, parents, and doctors were fighting a raging flu; met the millionaire guru behind Bikram yoga and examined the accusations shaking his hot yoga empire; featured controversial radio host Alex Jones; and featured tips to save money on your cell phone bills, among other reports.
