Emmy-nominated NFL Turning Point, NBC Sports Network's weekly NFL show co-produced by NFL Films, airs this Wednesday at 10:00 p.m. ET. In this week's episode: NFL Turning Point examines how Tom Brady and the New England Patriots outplayed Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts; how Aaron Rodgers lifted the Green Bay Packers over the Detroit Lions; and a spotlight look at the Baltimore Ravens defense. In addition, Football Night In America's Tony Dungy and Rodney Harrison will breakdown the keys to this Sunday's Green Bay Packers - New York Giants matchup.
Hosted by Football Night In America's Dan Patrick, the hour-long program airs throughout the entire NFL season, including the playoffs and Super Bowl.
This week's episode will include:
- An in-depth look at the Colts–Patriots, and how Tom Brady and the Patriots were able to beat Andrew Luck and the Colts. NFL Turning Point examines the performance of both quarterbacks, including Luck's three interceptions and one fumble. Patriots coach Bill Belichick was wired for sound during WR Julian Edelman's 68-yard punt return and CB Aqib Talib's 59-yard pick six.
- NFL Turning Point explores the Packers-Lions, and how Aaron Rodgers was able to lead Green Bay to a win over Detroit. NFL Films looks at the offensive struggles of the Packers during the first half of the game, and how Green Bay's defensive unit helped carry the day. NFL Turning Point reviews the play of the Packers young secondary, and the effort of Packers OLB Dezman Moses.
- The program shines a spotlight on the Baltimore Ravens defense, and the efforts of coach John Harbaugh and his staff. NFL Films takes a look at how the team has been able to develop players and build them in to stars.
- Football Night In America's Rodney Harrison and Tony Dungy look ahead to this Sunday's Packers-Giants matchup, breaking down the keys to the game for both teams.
Each week NFL Turning Point will be built around select NFL match-ups from the previous weekend, and will focus on the crucial "turning point" moments that ultimately defined the outcome of each game. The show will feature anatomy-of-a-play type segments and long form, Game-of-the-Week style narratives that include the pre-game and post-game access, sideline sounds, jaw-dropping cinematography and incredible storytelling that is synonymous with NFL Films.
Earlier this year NFL Films and NBC Sports Group agreed to renew the Emmy-nominated NFL Turning Point, for the 2012, 2013, and 2014 seasons. This year, NBC Sports Network will air a total of 22 episodes, running throughout the entire NFL season, including the playoffs and Super Bowl. The season finale, scheduled to air on Wednesday, February 6, 2013, will look back at the turning point of Super Bowl XLVII.
