Broadway star Patti LuPone and actress Anna Chlumsky will guest star on the television series Army Wives, TV Fanatics reports. LuPone will appear on the Lifetime show as a captain in the Army's Intelligence Division, while Chlumsky will play an Army wife whose husband is injured in Afghanistan.
LuPone's Broadway credits include The Anarchist, Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, Gypsy, Sweeney Todd, Children and Art, Anything Goes, Noises Off, The Old Neighborhood, Master Class, Company, Accidental Death of an Anarchist, Oliver, Evita, Working, The Baker's Wife, Scapin, Next Time I'll Sing to You, Edward II, The Three Sisters, Measure for Measure, and The Beggar's Opera. West End credits include Sunset Boulevard, Les Miserables, and The Cradle Will Rock.
Anna Chlumsky starred in the 2009 off-Broadway production of Love, Loss, and What I Wore, as well as the 2008 Off-Broadway production of Unconditional.
Army Wives, Lifetime's most successful series in the network's history, returned for its sixth season with all-new episodes earlier this month. Army Wives follows the struggles, dreams and friendships of a diverse group of women - and one man - living with their spouses and families on an active army post. The series stars Kim Delaney, Sally Pressman, Brigid Brannagh, Brian McNamara, Sterling K. Brown, Wendy Davis, Drew Fuller, Terry Serpico, Kelli Williams and Catherine Bell.
