The D.C.-born host of Comedy Central's THE COLBERT REPORT, Stephen Colbert, has been immortalized in wax and helped unveil his figure at Madame Tussauds in Washington D.C. today. Below, check out photos of the unveiling just posted on Tussaud's DC Facebook page!

As a product of Washington D.C., Stephen Colbert was an ideal choice to immortalize in wax. For the new figure, Madame Tussauds D.C. has renovated its Media Room and created a replica set of The Colbert Report, where guests will be able to interact and take photos behind the desk, next to the figure.??

Colbert was an active participant in the creation of his wax figure, spending hours with a team of Madame Tussauds studio artists, who joined him at his show's New York City studio in June of this year to take more than 250 precise measurements and photographs - capturing him from every angle. Our team of artists worked diligently to ensure the figure fully captured his unique style, exact eye color, build and overall allure, including his signature raised eyebrow.??Additionally, Colbert donated his own clothes to outfit the figure, including a suit, tie, shirt, cuff links, socks, shoes and lapel pin. He also provided information for his eye glasses to Madame Tussauds, which had them recreated to exact specification and magnification.
