Actress Glenn Close appeared today on the ABC daytime talk show "The View" to discuss her recent Oscar nomination as Best Actress for her role in 'Albert Nobbs'.
The actress made her film debut in 1982 and has earned five Oscar nominations for her starring roles in The World According to Garp (1982), The Big Chill (1983), The Natural (1984), Fatal Attraction (1987), and Dangerous Liaisons (1988). She also appeared in a number of other successful films including Reversal of Fortune (1990) and 101 Dalmatians (1996).
Close is the recipient of three Tony awards including Best Actress in a Play for 1984's The Real Thing, Best Actress in a Play for 1992's Death and the Maiden and Best Actress in a Musical for 1995's Sunset Boulevard. She also won Drama Desk Awards for Outstanding Actress in a Play in 1992 and Outstanding Actress in a Musical in 1995.
Close can currently be seen on the big screen in Rodrigo Garcia's "Albert Nobbs".
