In a recent photo posted to her Twitter account, GLEE star Lea Michele teased that tonight's episode of the Fox musical comedy entitled 'On My Way', will feature a wedding scene which appears to be inspired by last summer's blockbuster comedy 'Bridesmaids'. Along with the tweeted photo was the message, "@msleamichele In anticipation of tomorrows very memorable episode.. We took this photo.. We call it GLEE-MAIDS.. pic.twitter.com/58XgS5H6"
In a recent episode, Finn (Cory Monteith) proposed to his high school sweetheart Rachel (Michele) and she accepted. In tonight's winter finale of GLEE, things heat up as the New Directions go head to head with the Dalton Academy Warblers at Regionals. Performances will include 'Fly/I Believe I Can Fly,' 'Cough Syrup,' and 'Glad You Came'.
GLEE will return to FOX on April 10.
Now in its third season, GLEE is a musical comedy about a group of eager and ambitious students who strive to outshine their singing competition to win Nationals while navigating the cruel halls of McKinley High. Since its debut, GLEE has become a bona fide cultural phenomenon, received prestigious honors including the Golden Globe and Peabody Award and singlehandedly made glee clubs cool again.
In addition to the regular cast, GLEE has featured guest appearances by a wide range of talented performers, including Gwyneth Paltrow (who won the 2011 Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series), Carol Burnett, Kathy Griffin, Cheyenne Jackson, John Stamos, Britney Spears, Kristin Chenoweth, Idina Menzel, Jonathan Groff, Molly Shannon, Olivia Newton-John and Neil Patrick Harris, who won a 2010 Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for his work on the show.
