Oscar® and Golden Globe®-winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow, comedic mastermind and "Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane, and fashion designer Jason Wu, best known for creating First Lady Michelle Obama's inaugural dress, will be featured in OUT OF CHARACTER WITH KRISTA SMITH, a one hour interview special. The special, featuring candid conversations with three of Hollywood's elite talents, is hosted by one of Hollywood's top insiders, Krista Smith, west coast editor of VANITY FAIR, and will premiere on Wednesday, January 11 at 11/10c on USA.
OUT OF CHARACTER WITH KRISTA SMITH will give viewers exclusive access to their favorite stars like never before. Smith will have casual and informal conversations with her guests, featuring them in a very personal light - we'll witness Paltrow sharing family recipes from her cookbook, MacFarlane revealing his surprising fascination with science and his love of music from the Golden Age of pop, and acclaimed fashion designer Wu giving a tour of his design studio in the famed Fashion District in Manhattan.
Smith, one of the hosts of ABC's Oscar pre-show for the 2011 83rd Annual Academy Awards®, has interviewed notable personalities such as Jeff Bridges, Cher, Martin Scorsese, James Franco and Robert Redford along with up-and comers like Willow Smith and Emma Stone. Authentic Entertainment ("Ace of Cakes," "Flipping Out") produces the special.
