Last night, fans gagged on the glamour as RuPaul announced Chad Michaels as the winner of the first season of RUPAUL'S ALL STARS DRAG RACE. RuPaul was assisted at the judge's table by Michelle Visage and Santino Rice alongside special finale guest judges Beth Ditto and Cheri Oteri as they critiqued the "dragtestants" after a grueling day of challenges that featured an impromptu press conference and a stand-up comedy performance at L.A.'s legendary Comedy Store. Chad Michaels proved to have a leg up on her competition as she beat out all-star finalists Raven, Jujubee and Shannel and strutted away with the crown along with a sickening supply of MAC Cosmetics, a one-of-a-kind trip courtesy of Al and Chuck dot travel, and a cash prize of $100K. Most importantly, Chad Michaels stands as the first queen in "herstory" to earn a spot in the "Drag Race Hall of Fame" - cementing her status as drag royalty. Fans of "RuPaul's Drag Race" can rejoice as a new season returns to Logo in January 2013. Meet the fifth season queens now at LogoTV.com.

RuPaul announced, "Karl Rove may challenge the decision, however, I am thrilled to declare Chad Michaels the winner! When it comes to the art and audacity of drag, nobody does it better than Chad. She has set the bar high, and I can't wait to bring back more of my best queens for another dazzling season of 'All Stars.'"
