Rosie O' Donnell just revealed via Twitter that she is filming a cameo today for the NBC hit Smash! No news yet on when the episode will air.

Rosie O' Donnell began her comedy career while still a teenager on the television show "Star Search." In 1994 Rosie made her Broadway debut as Rizzo in Grease. This started a long line of charity work within the Broadway community and it helped her start her Broadway Kids organization. She went on to host several talk shows including her own in 1996.

"Smash" is a musical drama that celebrates the beauty and heartbreak of the Broadway theater as it follows a cross-section of dreamers and schemers who all have one common desire – to be a Broadway star. The series stars Emmy Award winner Debra Messing ("Will & Grace"), Oscar winner Anjelica Huston ("Prizzi's Honor"), Jack Davenport ("Pirates of the Caribbean" films), Tony Award winner Christian Borle ("Peter and the Starcatcher"), Katharine McPhee ("American Idol"), Megan Hilty ("9 to 5: The Musical"), Tony Award nominee Jeremy Jordan ("Newsies"), Andy Mientus ("Spring Awakening"), Leslie Odom Jr. ("Leap of Faith") and Krysta Rodriguez ("Spring Awakening").

The television series was just nominated for a Golden Globe in the Best Comedy Series. Smash will return to the NBC lineup on February 5th at 9pm (EST).
