As first reported on Deadline.com, actress Ruth Bradley has been cast in the lead role of ABC's upcoming pilot BEAUTY AND THE BEAST. The actress joins previously announced cast members Darius Campbell, who will play the role of the beast, and Chris Egan.
The drama is described as "a fantasy re-imagining of the classic Beauty and the Beast tale wherein an embattled princess, Grace (Bradley), discovers an unlikely connection with a mysterious beast, Shiro (Campbell), a mercenary bodyguard."
The Irish actress was recently seen in the movie 'Grabbers' which premiered at this year's Sundance Film Festival. She also starred in 'In Her Skin'. She will next be seen on TV in ITV's Titanic miniseries this spring on ABC.
