TODAY show executive producer Jim Bell tweeted last night that an announcement will be made on tomorrow's morning show regarding Ryan Seacrest, host of 'On Air with Ryan Seacrest', a nationally syndicated Top 40 radio show that airs on KIIS-FM in Los Angeles, E! News and American Idol "Tuesday morning live on the Today show in Studio 1A, Ryan Seacrest will make a big NBC announcement," read the Tweet.

The announcement is expected to involve a new deal between Seacrest and NBC's new partner, Comcast's E!, where Seacrest has been since 2006. Insiders believe the deal will include some part time assignments on Today, and a role in the network's coverage of the upcoming London Olympics.

Since NBC Universal merged with Comcast, rumors have circulated that Seacrest was being considered for a bigger role in the expanded company. NBC entertainment chairman Bob Greenblatt hinted in January that Seacrest was interested in producing scripted shows for the broadcast network and that he would like to see Seacrest doing interview specials for the network, similar to Barbara Walters specials on ABC. It is unclear if he would keep his anchoring duties on E! News.

It was recently announced that Seacrest is launching a new TV network, AXS, with MARK CUBAN and AEG.
