STAGE TUBE: Jacob Artist of GLEE Talks Jennifer Lawrence, Dancing, and More

Jacob Artist sat down with Nikki Novak of Young Hollywood to discuss his life as a Glee cast member. In this video, Artist answer fan questions from Twitter, during which he reveals that he, "Would love to record a Frank Ocean song."

Jacob Artist currently portrays Jake Puckerman, Noah Puckerman's younger half-brother, on Season Four of Glee. He began dancing at the age of five at David DeMarie Dance Studios and is a trained jazz, hip hop, tap, and ballet competition dancer. During high school, he danced with the Infinity Dance Project, and participated in Chautauqua Institution's summer dance school. He began taking voice lessons through the Community Music School in Buffalo.[1]

Jacob graduated from Williamsville South in 2010. He auditioned for Juilliard and got in, but turned it down to be an actor. He began his professional acting career in 2011 with an episode on Bucket and Skinner's Epic Adventures. Other television credits include Melissa & Joey, How to Rock, and the romance film Blue Lagoon: The Awakening. He was recently cast in White Bird, where he will portray the love interest of Shailene Woodley's character.

Glee is a musical comedy about a group of eager and ambitious students who strive to outshine their singing competition to win Nationals while navigating the cruel halls of McKinley High. Since its debut, Glee has become a bona fide cultural phenomenon, received prestigious honors including the Golden Globe and Peabody Award and singlehandedly made Glee clubs cool again.
