Casey (Jesse Spencer) and his mother, Nancy (Kathleen Quinlan) struggle with their new relationship. Meanwhile, as a favor to Lieutenant Whaley (guest star Shane McRae), Severide (Taylor Kinney) visits someone important from his past, while Herrmann (David Eigenberg) and Otis (Yuri Sardarov) learn some hard truths about their "silent partner" in the bar. Lauren German, Charlie Barnett and Eamonn Walker also star.
