On August 30, 1993, the Late Show with David Letterman premiered on the CBS Television Network. Since its debut 19 years ago, the critically acclaimed, multi-award-winning late-night program has remained one of the funniest and most creative shows on television. This year, Letterman also reached a significant milestone, reaching 30 years in late night television, a feat reached by only one other person - the legendary Johnny Carson, who hosted "The Tonight Show" for 30 years.
