Scott Bakula Joins Cast of TNT's Bounty Hunter-Themed Pilot

TVLine reports that Scott Bakula has joined Geena Davis in TNT's upcoming bounty hunter-themed drama pilot. The actor join previously announced cast member Marsha Mason. The currently untitled project is co-written by Scott Prendergast and Amy Berg and helmed by Leverage's Dean Devlin.

The actor will portray a detective and ex-husband of Davis' character. Davis takes on the role of a "Seattle bail bondswoman whose eccentric personality and unusual tactics give her an advantage in a tough and unpredictable business." The drama is based on the real-life story of Mackenzie Green. Production is set to begin later this month.

Bakula is best known for his role as Sam Beckett in the television series Quantum Leap, for which he won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor - Television Series Drama in 1991 and was nominated for four Emmy Awards. He also had a prominent role as Captain Jonathan Archer in Star Trek: Enterprise. Bakula also guest starred in seasons two and three of NBC's Chuck as the title character's father Stephen Bartowski, and was a star of the comedy-drama series Men of a Certain Age.
