Sneak Peek - Pressures Mount on Showtime's THE BORGIAS 5/6

On this Sunday's episode of Showtime's THE BORGIAS, the mounting pressure from the arrogant Sforza family and the rebellious Florentine friar Savonarola forces Pope Alexander to exercise other methods of manipulation. He sends Cesare to Catherina Sforza’s castle at Forli to demand that she swear allegiance to the Pope.

The sly and seductive Catherina welcomes the Borgia son graciously and proceeds to distract him with her sexual advances, but ultimately she refuses to give him the answer he wants. Enraged, Cesare takes matters into his own hands by seeking revenge on her cousin Giovanni – Lucrezia’s ex-husband who brutally mistreated her during their ill-fated marriage. Cesare’s spontaneous act will deepen the hostility between these two powerful families, setting the stage for an epic, history-making confrontation. Season 2 airs on Sundays at 10PM ET/PT on Showtime.
