Spike TV will bring together Will Ferrell, Vince Vaughn, Luke Wilson and Todd Phillips as it inducts the memorable comedy OLD SCHOOL into the Guy Movie Hall of Fame at the star-studded "Guys Choice" (#GuysChoice). Taping at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, CA on June 2, the induction of a seminal film into the Guy Movie Hall of Fame has quickly become the centerpiece of "Guys Choice." "Old School" is the sixth movie to receive this prestigious honor, joining the stellar list of previous inductees including "Swingers," "There's Something About Mary," "Fight Club," "Goodfellas" and "Fast Times At Ridgemont High." The 2012 "Guys Choice" premieres Saturday, June at 9:00 PM ET/PT on Spike TV.
Premiering in 2003, "Old School" features three (Ferrell, Vaughn, and Wilson) middle-aged buddies from college who look to re-capture their fun-filled, glorious youth by starting an off-campus fraternity with a crew of misfits.
"When it was released, one critic called 'Old School' 'A flatland of lowest-common- denominated retro-collegiate wackiness,' and another said it's 'an extremely funny and, of course, socially unredeemable comedy.' Of course that makes it the perfect addition to our Guy Movie Hall of Fame," said Casey Patterson, Executive Vice President, Event Production, Talent and Studio Relations for the Viacom Entertainment Group. "The Hall of Fame has been a great Guys Choice tradition and we can't wait to induct this film, its perfect cast, and their indelible characters into our hallowed Hall of Fame. 'Old School' is already a classic."
Previously announced presenters and attendees of "Guys Choice" include comedic all-star and star of the upcoming "That's My Boy" Adam Sandler, "The Amazing Spider-Man's" Emma Stone, Oscar-nominated and co-star of the blockbuster "The Avengers" Jeremy Renner, the "Ted" cast featuring Mark Wahlberg, Mila Kunis and Seth MacFarlane, "Hit and Run" co-stars Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell, Comedy Central's "Workaholics" Anders Holm, Blake Anderson and Adam Devine, "Rock of Ages" co-stars Malin Akerman and Julianne Hough and many more names to be announced.
