Spike TV will telecast a one-hour special, "Crash Test: Real Wrecks, Real Stakes" on Tuesday, April 27 at 11:00pm ET/PT. The one hour show, produced by Reveille Productions, features an elite team of stuntmen and scientists risking life and limb to duplicate extraordinary accidents to find out what really happened. The show is created by renowned actor, singer and producer, John Schneider ("Dukes of Hazzard"), who serves as executive producer.

For these adrenaline junkies, their methods are direct, inventive, destructive and spectacular. They put their bodies and lives on the line during full scale, high impact, maximum force replications of the event they're investigating. Answers are revealed in broken glass, shattered cars, blown up buildings, and near death close calls - combined with scientific measurements and high-speed films that record the results of the mayhem

Featured in the Spike TV special are a water slide that ends with bone crushing impact; an SUV that flies more than one hundred feet through the air and crashes into a home; and a tornado that blasts apart a trailer and throws a man more than one thousand feet.

Mark Koops and Howard T. Owens of Reveille Productions serve as executive producers along with Jack Gill, Steven Jensen, and John Schneider. Tim Prokop is director and executive producer. Sharon Levy is Spike TV's senior vice president of original series and Tim Duffy is vice president of original programming for Spike TV.

Spike TV is available in 98.6 million homes and is a division of MTV Networks. A unit of Viacom (NYSE: VIA, VIA.B), MTV Networks is one of the world's leading creators of programming and content across all media platforms. Spike TV's Internet address is www.spike.com.
