Stephen Colbert to Visit NBC's MEET THE PRESS, 10/14

He's spent the last seven years poking fun at politicians and pundits alike and this Sunday Stephen Colbert, host of Comedy Central's The Colbert Report, visits NBC's MEET THE PRESS.   David Gregory will go one-on-one with Colbert about politics, comedy and his new book: "America Again: Re-becoming the Greatness We Never Weren't."

Also on the show, just two presidential debates left before the election as both sides try to win over voters still trying to make up their minds. Can President Obama hold off Romney's recent surge in the polls? Or will Romney deliver a knockout blow in the final two debates? What effect will the Biden-Ryan showdown have on the race? A special discussion looking ahead to the final three weeks of the campaign: Gov. Bob McDonnell (R-VA); Mayor Kasim Reed (D-Atlanta); Fmr. Gov Jennifer Granholm (D-MI); GOP strategist Alex Castellanos; and NBC's Tom Brokaw.

David Gregory is the moderator of "Meet the Press." Betsy Fischer Martin is the executive producer, Adam Verdugo is the senior producer, Chris Donovan, and Ilana Marcus Drimmer are producers.

"Meet the Press" is seen on the NBC Television Network from 9-10 a.m. ET in most markets. In New York City and Washington D.C., the broadcast is seen from 10:30-11:30 a.m. ET.

The program re-airs on MSNBC Sunday afternoons at 2 p.m. ET/11 a.m. PT and again at 2 a.m. ET/11 p.m. PT and 4 a.m. ET/1 a.m. PT Monday. At these times, "Meet The Press" will also air on SIRIUS channel 90 and XM channel 120.
